[Update] - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion | August
The CSS DEI Committee recently met for our second meeting last month (7/24). We are happy to report progress on the following key initiatives:
- DEI Statement - We have finalized the CSS DEI Statement. The full version is live on our website, and we include a shorter version with every job we post. we will be adding this statement to our Employee Handbook and incorporating it into new hire orientation and will create a poster version for each office.
- Survey Results – We appreciate everyone who took the time to complete our DEI Pulse Survey. We received 52 responses and will use the data to improve our DEI efforts. Overall, we had very positive feedback, but we have identified room for improvement in our diversity score and overall DEI education. We will continue to conduct this survey yearly, in addition to smaller, more targeted feedback surveys following employee training sessions.
- Developing Employee Training Programs – We are continuing to evaluate the various providers to build our employee training program. This program will cover unconscious bias, anti-racism, and allyship, in addition to creating opportunities to further employee conversations and reflections on DEI.
