[Update] - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion | July
In an effort to do what is right and important, CSS has assembled a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee to ensure that we maintain our commitment to being an anti-racist organization and to spearhead our DEI initiatives. The committee meets monthly and had its first meeting last week (6/24). Moving forward, we'll be sharing updates on what CSS is doing to ensure ours is a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace. Additionally, we will report on committee efforts to raise awareness and provide education regarding these critical issues.
WHAT WE'RE DOING NEXT
- Creating a Pulse Survey – We will be sending out an anonymous employee survey to gauge the current status of DEI at CSS and to identify areas with the most significant room for improvement.
Target Date: 7/6/2020 - Crafting an acknowledgment and commitment statement - We are currently drafting a DEI acknowledgement and commitment statement that can be used (with adjustments to fit each section) on the CSS website, CSS job postings, in the CSS employee handbook, and for CSS office posters.
Target Date: 7/20/2020 - Developing employee training programs – We aim to build an employee training program that covers unconscious bias, anti-racism, and allyship and also creates opportunities to further employee conversations and reflections on DEI.
