Employee Spotlight: Robin Porter

About Robin

I grew up in the country on our family’s dairy farm. This country girl thought city life would be great, so I moved to South Philadelphia for 2 years. Boy was I wrong! I will never live in a big city again! I quickly discovered that the country life is more my style and I moved back home. I’ve lived near my childhood home ever since.

Robin at CSS

After applying to a help wanted ad, I started with CSS in August 2018. I only had minimal knowledge of what a title company did and no clue on how the construction process worked, but here I am! What I like most about CSS is everyone’s willingness to assist me with any questions or situations I may have. I want to be successful and I feel everyone is helping me succeed.

Robin's Pet Deer Buttons

Buttons, Robin's Pet Deer

Something most people don’t know about me is I have had the opportunity to raise a deer. After his mother was killed by a car, we ‘adopted’ a fawn just a few days old. We named him ‘Buttons’. His dog brothers accepted him as one of their crew. I never knew deer liked spaghetti and Mt. Dew! He would practically jump in your lap for some! Those were a few of his favorites. Buttons was part of our family for approximately 1 ½ years. Then sadly, one day he decided to venture out and move on. It was awesome and A LOT of work to raise him, but I would do it again if given another chance.

Other Facts About Robin

In my spare time and weekends, I like to do crafts. I really enjoy all types of crafting but creating stained glass is my favorite. In the summer you can usually find me outside in the flower garden or taking walks through the woods. I love the outdoors and nature in general. The most important thing I’ve learned in the last five years is to enjoy every day to its fullest. There is no going back or getting do-overs. Never take anyone or anything for granted because things can change in the blink of an eye.
