Employee Spotlight: Olivia Huerta

Olivia started working at CSS in August, 2016. She was hired as a Funding Specialist due to her background in banking. She now works as a Commitment Typist/Final Policy Specialist in our Charlevoix, MI office, working closely with the National Closing team to onboard new clients.

Previously, she worked as a Spa Concierge at the Inn at Bay Harbor. She scheduled appointments, checked in spa guests, made spa water - "the kind with fruit and cucumber floating in it." Some of the perks were monthly complimentary manicures and the wonderful people she worked with, but she gave it all up to work in the glamorous world of title insurance! She appreciates the leadership at CSS and their willingness to answer any of her questions. She is grateful to be trusted to "get the job done" without constant supervision. Olivia appreciates to working in an environment where she is always given the freedom and opportunity to voice her ideas and opinions without fear or judgment.

In her free time, Olivia enjoys all things food. If she had another job, it would be a food critic or journalist. Anytime she's at a restaurant, she picks apart every detail of the experience. How long did it take to be seated? Was the hostess dressed well? How are the drink options? Are the portion sizes worth the money? She's also a huge sports fan. She states: "Any sport, anytime, I will watch it!" When it comes to football, she can usually remember details about the players including where they went to college, when they were drafted, and what teams they've played for.

Fun Facts:

• Her family lives in San Antonio, TX. She visits them at least once a year.
• Every time she goes to Texas, she stops at Whataburger - the superior fast food burger.
• She has a pet bunny, Herb, that she adopted her from a co-worker at Charlevoix Office.
• The weirdest thing she has eaten is "Tripas" - the small intestines of farm animals that are cleaned, boiled, and then grilled or fried.
