I have worked for CSS for the last 30-plus years, over the years things have changed a lot. When I first started as a title examiner, we would have to travel to each county to research the county records for the title exam. If we needed a copy of a document from the county they would send it by mail or if we were lucky they would fax it to us. Jump ahead 30 years and now we can research and print copies online and copies of older document are emailed.
I am married to my wife Merri and we have 4 children, 14 grandchildren and a spoiled Yorkie named Sadie.
I love to cook, take photos and hike in the Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore. It is a beautiful National Park. Also, I am a huge fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines, I have football season tickets and hardly ever miss a game. Nothing like a football Saturday in Ann Arbor.
What do you like most about CSS?
I enjoy working with our team, solving title problems, and helping our customers receive the best service.
What has been your favorite project at CSS?
I enjoy working on commercial sales, construction and refinance projects. These can be very challenging, especially trying to put together commitments on multiple parcel projects and interacting with attorneys, surveyors, developers, and lenders to complete their projects.
